Based in Richmond, Virginia, eecoder focuses on bringing the work of 30-plus designers and creative agencies — across the States and around the world — to life, using our in-depth knowledge of ExpressionEngine.
We're happy to help designers quickly convert their PSDs, wireframes, or sketches into functioning EE sites. We also love to take on large jobs with challenging, highly technical, custom requirements. We've immersed ourselves in every imaginable permutation of an EE site and come back each time with a happy client.
We're here for two reasons:
We have room on our roster for more clients, yet promise we'll never get ahead of ourselves: you'll have our personal attention throughout your project.
If you'd like, we're also geared up to handle projects and clients for you: you focus on design and we manage milestones, teaching sessions, maintenance, and any other part of the project you'd like to hand over.
Founder and principal of eecoder, Shawn is an accomplished (and devoted) ExpressionEngine expert with a strong background in a range of platforms, CMSs, and programming languages.
After earning a BA in Computer Information Systems, he has handled a range of technical positions, one as Senior Network Administrator for a company who housed the Department of Homeland Securities web portals. Although he has worked as a network administrator for both Windows and Linux environments, he is now inseparable from his Mac.
Shawn cofounded Visual Chefs in 2005, and then started his own venture, eecoder, several years ago—reflecting his total immersion in ExpressionEngine work.
He lives in Virginia with his wife Sara. When he can break away from his keyboard, he loves drumming, music, cooking (parmesan-encrusted tilapia, handcrafted tortellini, and homemade eclairs are some of his specialties), working in their yard and garden, and playing soccer.
